Abstract: The public open space plays a significant role for cities. There have been two different designing ideas of public space—to create “image” or “place”. Today’s designers should pay more attention to creating diversified “places” for citizens. The design of humanized urban public space must base on studies of people's demand and behavior and create kind, pleasant spacial environment according to human’s scale.
